 ABOUT US

Our Beginnings

In 1999, Mrs Barbara Kok-Gordon (at the instigation of one of her Speech & Drama students) established an artistic committee with the view of forming an Eisteddfod in the Redlands. The ‘Redlands Eisteddfod’ was established and incorporated in February 2000, with annual competition taking place in Music, Dance and Speech & Drama since that time.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To promote community interest and involvement in the performing arts through conducting competitions in the Redland City area, or at other locations as required, at such times as may be determined by the Management Committee.

To encourage the achievement of excellence in the performing arts by way of providing expert adjudications, performance opportunities and the awarding of prizes, bursaries and scholarships.

To raise funds for all purposes deemed by the management committee to be within the objectives of the association.
